Thinking about a Glock 30S or a Shield .45 2.0. I have mags and holsters for both. Have carried a 30 before, and a Shield 9 Plus, so pretty familiar. Both about the same size, clearly the Glock is a little thicker and the Shield under and inch in width. The Glock has the advantage of taking G21 mags for backup. I recently bought a HK 45c to replace the Glock for carry, it is slimmer and I hope it conceals better as soon as I get a holster (VM II on order). Just took my new used Glock 30 out to the range for the first time. I took my G 36, which has a 3.5# connector & a 21# Wolff recoil rod in it. The 30's internals R stock. I did replace the original G 30 recoil rod w/my OEM recoil rod from the G 36. Since I know that recoil rod is virtually new.Maybe even more than my 36. Also, as far as a 30S/30SF comparison; seeing as the 30SF has a heavier slide, I would imagine it would have slightly less perceived recoil and SLIGHTLY less muzzle rise, allowing for slightly faster follow-up shot front sight acquisition.
