When you switch jobs as an explorer all your class specific boost nodes and skill nodes get "locked" in that you can't use them. You would have to open nodes as whatever class you switch to and restart boost and skill nodes. Iirc, the revamp forced you to do a ton of story bits that took you to 30. The cities aren't apart of the quests now. You have to do a story in order to job advance now. It takes about an 40 minutes or so. If you press u it'll bring up a small square with a blue button that says job advancement. Can click that.

No, the cost starts at 10m for a lv. 101 character. It increases as the number of times your character swaps jobs and its level increases. AP does not reset to the new classes's primary stat IIRC, and all mastery books previously used are wiped, even if you return to your original job. So consider wisely!
