I believe that the 25% of scores is a 1410. A lot of T20 schools are very vague with their application standards. Honestly if you are within the 25%-75% there is no reason why they should not consider you and at that point it becomes a total flip of the coin.

1530-1540 is average at Harvard first of all. And that's with all the people going test optional (it was lower before this cycle). Being at the median of a top school with a test does help the application. Also, it's not so much they care about having a 1580 vs a 1540, in fact I'm pretty sure they DON'T care.
