Jun 5, 2014 · 2002 Eiger 400 carb problems. i picked up this quad that hadn't been run in 3 yrs. The oil had gas in it. the air cleaner element had gas in it - although mostly varnish after 3 yrs. Took carb apart and thought i cleaned every bit of it? changed the oil, filter, air cleaner and plug and cleaned the petcock and fired it up.

I removed carb. It was filthy inside. I thoroughly cleaned everything including gas tank and reinstalled carb. Much to my surprise it started instantly! Suzuki 400 stumbling after idle. 2004 eiger having stumbling issues past idle. Engine does not smoke so guessing compression is good. Came with an aftermarket carb when purchased. I purchased a second aftermarket carb to negate carb condition issues. Air Fuel screw 1 1/2 turns. Idles fine but once you get to quarter throttle and above it stumbles.
