At least it has two stars on the barrel. I have patterned this gun with lead #6 and #7 1/2 at 40 yds. from a bench. The patterns run about 38% or cylinder bore. I completely stripped them and took all the factory grease out of them before I ever shot them. My buddies had a problem cycling at first but he just left the grease from the factory in it and started shooting it.AFAIK you're right in that Invector+ barrels are overbore and Invector not. Can't say anything about it making much difference outside the theoretical realm, but overbore barrels can cause problems with fibre wads, be aware of that. I have a 1967 browning A5 that has a feeding problem. It is trying to feed 2 shells at a time. One is in the chamber and the next one gets stuck in the action. I first noticed it at the trap range in July. My gun was not locking back after shooting Browning Dove&Clay loads. Sometimes the bolt would slam back and bite the brass head of the shell in the receiver. I had bought 250 rounds of it. 225 gave me issues at the trap range or dove fields in September.

It became the most practically designed auto-loading shotgun on the market for half a century. my hypothesis is that the bolt latch assembly is bent and causing the latch to not engage properly. if i put my hand on the inside of the receiver and apply pressure to the latch assembly, the latch will then engage and hold the bolt open. My plan was to replace the latch assembly to see if that fixes the issue.

Set the single ring down by your reciever on the mag tube. keep the wide one with the bronze bushing up by your mag tube cap. That is how you set up for light loads.
