On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun. between the 30 and the 36, basically you want to think about the number of rounds they hold and what you will be happy with. second is what feels better in your hands. third the 36 would be slightly easier to conceal since the frame is thinner. the 30, 30s and the 36 are all very nice.It is a 30 body with a 36 slide so anything that works in a 30 will work in a 30s.
