No armor-piercing or high-explosive anti-tank rounds were made for this gun, it was to fire HESH only. The FV215 came in at 61 tons and was a big, heavily armored vehicle. Cage armour is to stop fused munitions, not just HEAT. Yes I know true cage armour is a dedicated setup but a HEAT round is far more formidable than hesh. Hesh was designed to kill concrete, a job it does well. It doesnt take much to defeat non shaped plastic explosives. Hell, wire fencing was enough for premature detonation for vietnam pbrs.My experience so far in the Conqueror using HESH. You can't see it in the video but the first round I fired went straight into the turret and exploded destroying... the machine gun. The second round hit the side of the hull destroying the track and the third round exploded inside the tank doing zero damage.
