It was leaking some clear fluid that I could not pinpoint. Apparently the t-case has its own fluid separate from the transmission. The owners manual calls for a transmission oil change and transfer case (not rear differential) change under symbol 3 in the maintenance minder section. I assume these are done at the same time when the maintenance minder notifies you. The transfer case takes gear oil.If you lift the vehicle, support it equally so the vehicle remains level. This is important for both the transfer case and VTM-4. This is only because of the way you fill the cases. Check the breather hoses on both, they may be covered in oil and dirt. I can't seem to find any 90 weight oils anywhere. There are plenty of 80W-90's, but the Pilot will spend only a few days a year below zero. So the questions are these:
