It's clear that the tub spout adapters are soldered on, there are no set screws. I've reviewed the existing posts about these adapters on the subreddit and it's clear they can be a pain to remove when soldered on. I was able to remove one of the tub spout adapters using a torch, held it there for a couple of minutes and wiggled the adapter off.
