If there’s a butt ton of water in the hydraulic/trans oil this passage can freeze and break. Loosen the trans drain plug and let a little oil out to make sure there’s no water. Best to do this before starting if the tractor has sat a long time, the oil will be separated and you’ll get most of the water out this way.
