Obituary. Elsie Belle Oakes Carswell Odham, 91, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023. She was born October 16, 1931 in Dry Fork, VA to the late Eddie Oakes and Nannie McKinney Oakes. She worked with Wake County Public School Systems in Food Service Management for 27 years. Never one to have idle hands, Belle was a most industrious lady.
