The front wheels (255/35-21), OE Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) tires on the Tesla Performance Model Y have a lower load index of 98 (1653 lbs) than the load index of the (275/35-21) rear wheels 103 (1929 lbs.). The lower load index of the front wheels, tires means these wheels are not adequate for use on the rear of the Model Y.2020 MYP and I’m purchasing new tires for the Übers in about a month… I have a 1” drop from the UPP springs and I’m very much leaning 275/35 front & 295/35 rear. Rear should not be a problem… Front I’m just a smidge nervous about rubbing while entering/leaving driveways or when the suspension is flexed.There's really no firm timeline on those being delivered and some of us need vehicles at certain times. Tesla have not indicated the benefits visible to the customer for models with 4680 cells. The MYP is about as quick as Tesla is allowing before creating a warranty issue for them. Mine now have 22K miles on them and have plenty of life left and very even wear all around. When discount tire rotated my staggered setup, they dismounted the tire from the wheel, flipped the tire, then remounted the tire to the wheel. This made it so after rotations, the inner side of the tire is now the outter side, and vice versa.
