Hello, Recently I've been looking into buying a eink tablet mostly for note taking and reading PDFs (but I wouldn't mind the ability to read ebooks as well) and I found a used Boox Nova Air 1 and a Remarkable 2 around my price range (the Remarkable 2 is a bit more expensive but it's a 20€ difference so it's not absurdly higher priced).

Ive had both rM1, rM2 and Boox Note 3, Nova Air C, Tab Ultra, Note Air, and Max Lumi. In my opinion Remarkable is just way too limited of a device, Boox can do so much more. I don’t see any reason to use Remarkable. You can get a similiar writing experience by using different combinations of nibs and screen protectors on Boox Devices.The Remarkable 2 stylus needs to be purchased separately.
