Personally, I prefer to create a ranged destruction squad with the SW's summon and Cragheart's Backup Ammunition, putting out 4 ranged attacks every round. The obstacle build isn't very effective until you hit lvl 4 and take Rock Slide. That card by itself makes any 'build' viable. Avalanche and Rock Tunnel are mediocre. You can still build toward an obstacle-based Cragheart. For one thing, many/most scenarios already contain single-hex obstacles, which the Cragheart uses to power its abilities.
