The only real readily available one ounce wad is the Rem SP20, which is highly priced and overly fragile (wad explodes into fragments when firing). Alot of powders suitable for one ounce are so dense that even with the correct amt of shot, if you use a sp20 wad, they crimps dish WAYY inMost of the time, I will use the Remington SP20 and occasionally the RXP 20. To answer your original question, the WAA20F1, was a 1 oz. wad, whereas the WAA20 is a 7/8 oz. wad. Sometimes the data will call for the WAA20F1 wad in a 7/8 oz. load, and in these cases you can normally use a WAA20 wad, unless the powder is too bulky.
