I wasn't happy with the original fitment of it because of the 1/4" gap or so, but you can control the gap up to a certain point due to the center bar that will interfere with the hood opening if you tighten up the clearance. However I have never seen a winch solenoid fail to an ON position, they are not built to do that. Open up the box and clean the contacts. Then seal it with rtv when you put it back together.
