According to what you marked on the diagram, I should connect the thermostat's "C" wire to what I circled in blue (left side, aka 6 on the diagram). Now the wire that is currently there is a black wire that leads to the other blue circle (right side) that I marked on the picture.I noticed that the heat wasn't working when my Nest thermostat was offline and seemed to be out of batteries.
