I just installed a new motor into the tractor. It that's 1.5 quarts and it's on the full line. 1.6 is a 1/4 inch over the fill line. It's what I did on a past oil change and it was fine. It's a personal choice to put in the correct amount The 1.5 quarts is the amount in both the service manual and on the troybilt website.
